Meet my daughter...

Hi.  My name is Emerson.
My first tooth is making its appearance.
And I'm grouchy.

I cry a lot.
When I am awake I must be held at all times.
And I seem to have forgotten that I like to eat.

I'm not quite sure what to do with myself.
And I think my Mom's not sure what to do with me either...

I just wish it would end.
But unfortunately this is the first of many.  Oh joy.

Does anyone have any teething tips for my Mom?
She could use a couple because apparently my big brother didn't act like this...

And that bad case of the flu I had last week...
I gave it to my Mom.

tylenol and advil together, cold clothes, stips of toast in the freezer first.
Sorry to hear you have the flu too. That sucks! Isaiah was a BAD teether and very clingy. I didn't get a whole lot done on those days.

Oh Eme! This is tragic! Your pictures are just heart-wrenching! :)
Tell your Mommy that Hylands Teething tablets helped your little friend Callie. They were wonder workers. And they're only $10 for 100 tablets at London Drugs, so I'm sure she'll like a good deal ;)
I sure hope you and your Mommy feel better soon!

Amber teething necklace... Life.Saver.

Hi,
For our kids, a nice cold dill pickle did the trick. The texture is cool and rubbery and maybe the vinegar is kind of astringent and dill has to be good for something. Hope that helps.

Camilia worked wonders for Spencer (http://boiron.ca/en/products/children/camilia/) However it did nothing for Chloe! She survived on Hyland's Teething Tablets!
Camilia is a bit more price though, around 30 doses for $15!

We used Tylenol both times, but with E we used Orajel. However, I"ve heard LOTS of people swear by the amber teething necklace and highlands tablets.
i hope it goes quickly. i did not enjoy that stage at ALL.

Alexis was a brutal teether as well. Advil and Tylenol together was the only thing that worked for her and I tried all the natural stuff too. Also we had one of those safe baby food eating things (not helpful I know) and I would put frozen pieces of watermelon in it and she would chew on that. It seemed to help the most. Hoping you feel better and soon and that those pesky teeth appear sooner rather than later. Take care friend!

Sorry to hear you're sick! Are you feeling better now? I hope you're over it, and that the rest of the family managed to avoid it.

As for teething, the one and only thing that worked for our kids is Advil. Tylenol didn't do the trick by itself, and those teething tablets that everyone raves about didn't help at all. My kids didn't like sucking on frozen teethers or food, or any other teething toy, so the only way they could get any sleep while they were teething was Advil, or a combo of Advil & Tylenol. Hope you find something that works for you!
