I'm starting to see how fixtures like that can work when the rest of the room isn't straight from the 70's...Jamiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05173027505090213903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27787630.post-30842800914946644202012-05-16T18:25:07.187-07:002012-05-16T18:25:07.187-07:00Hi, I'm new to your blog and love your style! ...Hi, I'm new to your blog and love your style! I am also struggling with finding budget lighting that looks good too. I recently was at the home improvement store (Menards) and in their lighting parts section I ended up piecing together a light that looks like the first Circa light you posted. I picked up a 4" ORB ceiling fitter for like $6 and they had clear or white glass balls for $9. They look great in my hallway! Just thought I would share that. :)Amanda Rapp Designhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16945900641899166842noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27787630.post-68648538235502941302012-05-16T15:28:01.346-07:002012-05-16T15:28:01.346-07:00Elisa, one thing I've learned from your posts ...Elisa, one thing I've learned from your posts over the months is how patient you are to find the right thing at the right price. If it were me, I might have just bought the expensive lights I loved and found a way to justify it in the budget.

You are a great example to me in this... waiting for exactly the right thing at the right price, even it if means living with stuff you don't love for the time being (like your booby hall lights).

I think I am learning from this... a couple months ago I SO wanted to read books 2 and 3 of the Hunger Games... I knew I could buy them (but then they'd just sit on my shelf when I was done, which is a waste)... or I could borrow them. I had to be SO patient till I found someone who had them available, and every time I passed the bookstore at the mall I thought, "I could easily just nip in there and buy them." But I'm glad I waited.

I'm also learning to live with my ugly 70's kitchen for the time being.

So thanks for your inspiration and example, and I love Caleb jumping on the bed :)

~CorinnaTeam AChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09137023612906445351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27787630.post-81871576621743055282012-05-16T15:12:45.921-07:002012-05-16T15:12:45.921-07:00Amazing...how lucky are you?
