We love you guys so much. I'm so happy to see Caleb's cute little face! He is so tiny but so beautiful and we're so glad that you could hold him today, Elissa. I wish we could be there with you. We really miss you and can't wait for the day to be all together again even though I know it will be hard.
Micah knows about his baby cousin and calls him "Cayib" (the letter L is a tough one...) Lots of hugs and kisses - especially for that cute little guy.

Congratulations Doug and Elissa on the birth of beautiful Caleb. I've been called to pray for you a lot this week Elissa. Six years ago I was in a car accident at 34 weeks pregnant, but our son died. he was almost 5 lbs as well. I've been praying for both you and Doug that you could find moments of joy amidst all this heartache. I will continue to pray for your recovery, your adjustment to a new baby and mourning and coping with the loss of Nathan.

You don't know me at all. But our pastor (Rob Kroeker at West Portal Church in Saskatoon, SK) shared of your family's story this past Sunday and I recognized your names from blog links on the sidebars of other bloggers. You're the closest link I can access to any of the Toews family members, so please pass on that my prayers are with all of you and even though we don't know each other in person, we are still all a part of the family of God and care and concern is far-reaching.
ALSO, CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your son! Rob didn't mention that the baby was actually delivered, but I am so relieved to know that you are all well. And what a wonderful way to honor Nathan by the name you chose for your son. My prayers continue to cover your family.

How wonderful to see you all together! I was thinking that sometimes a couple having a baby in a hospital, by whatever means, can sometimes feel alone or isolated from their loved ones, in their own little world, until the news is shared and people can visit. But I trust that you have never felt alone or isolated during the past few days, and that you remember that you are surrounded and hemmed in all sides by the love and prayers of many people. I have thought of you, Elissa every time I have sat down to feed Joshua since I heard the news of your accident, praying that you would soon be holding your baby in your arms....and there you are, looking so beautiful. Thanks for the pictures...Congratulations on your titles of Mommy and Daddy.

Sincerely,
